Rep. Crank Recognizes Local Law Enforcement During National Police Week
WASHINGTON - This week, Rep. Jeff Crank (CO-05) paid tribute to Colorado's Fifth Congressional District's local law enforcement during National Police Week.
1. Officer Garrett Swasey Police Officer Garrett Swasey, who gave the ultimate sacrifice to the Pikes Peak Region. In 2015, Officer Swasey responded to an active shooter call at the Planned Parenthood office in Colorado Springs, where he was fatally shot. On behalf of our community, we honor Officer Swasey and his family for their service to our community. |
2. Sergeant Olav Chaney
Colorado Springs Police Department's Sergeant Olav Chaney has served our community for 35 years. Sergeant Chaney, who also served in the United States Army, has become a recognized leader within the police department.
3. El Paso County Sheriff's Department, Colorado Springs Police Department and U.S. Capitol Police
