Congressman Crank Votes to Protect Women in Sports

January 14, 2025

WASHINGTON -  Today, the Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act passed the House Floor. After voting in favor of the bill, Congressman Jeff Crank (CO-05) released the following statement:

“I’m proud to stand with my colleagues in protecting women’s sports,” said Congressman Crank. “It’s a shame that not one Democrat voted to keep biological men out of women’s sports. Today’s passage of H.R. 28 will ensure that women’s sports remain for women only.”

Background:

H.R. 28, the Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act, would amend the Education Amendments of 1972 to provide that for purposes of determining compliance with title IX of such Act in athletics, sex shall be recognized based solely on a person’s reproductive biology and genetics at birth.
