COLORADO SPRINGS, CO -  Representative Jeff Crank (CO-05), member of the House Armed Services Committee, hosted Senator Jim Banks (R-Ind.), member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, in Colorado Springs last week for briefings, military base tours, and meetings with service members from the U.S. Space Force and U.S. Army.

Cheyenne Mountain Space Force Station

  • Discussed current and emerging space threats, ongoing missions, and advanced training for Space Force Guardians.
  • Toured Cheyenne Mountain Space Force Station and its roles and missions as part of defending the Homeland.

Fort Carson

“It was an honor to have Senator Jim Banks join me in Colorado’s Fifth Congressional District, home to five military installations," said Rep. Crank. "It is imperative that both the House and Senate Armed Services Committees work together, ensuring that our installations across the nation have the tools they need to keep our nation safe and remain the most lethal fighting force in the world.”

“Last week I joined Rep. Jeff Crank for tours of Cheyenne Mountain Space Force Station, Fort Carson, and the Air Force Academy in Colorado," said Senator Banks. "In addition to all the Hoosiers who serve there and attend the Air Force Academy, there are many ways Indiana and Colorado can work together to keep America safe and secure. Proud to partner with Rep. Crank who is off to a strong start as a new member of the House Armed Services Committee to find ways to do that.”
