May 7, 2025
WASHINGTON - Today, Rep. Jeff Crank (CO-05) and the House Natural Resources Committee voted to advance the Committee's reconciliation package.
This package saves the taxpayer a whopping $18.5 billion. This is a win for all Americans, and invests in domestic energy production, ensuring affordable energy and creating jobs across the country.
“Early this morning, House Natural Resources Committee voted to advance more than $18.5 billion in savings and profit through the reconciliation package," said Rep. Crank. "This package puts us one step closer to unleashing America's full energy potential and delivering on President Trump's one big beautiful bill."
The bill would:
- Generate revenue by increasing domestic mining activities and lessening American dependence on China for critical minerals and rare earth elements.
- Save the American taxpayer billions of dollars in future wildfire suppression, disaster response and deferred maintenance costs by stewarding our public lands and waters.
- Generate revenue by reversing Biden-era policies that stifled economic development, locked up American resources and granted unprecedented power to federal bureaucrats.
- Save taxpayers billions by eliminating waste, fraud, and abuse, eradicating wasteful programs and cutting the red tape that obstructs building in America.
