COLORADO SPRINGS, C.O.  – Today, President Trump signed an Executive Order to dismantle the Department of Education. 

 

President Trump's Executive Order to dismantle this department will eliminate bureaucracy and bring decision making one step closer to parents who best understand the needs of their children. Since 1979, the federal government has spent over trillions on the Department of Education with little to show in return.

WASHINGTON – Today, Rep. Jeff Crank (CO-05) voted in favor of H.R. 1968, the Full-Year Continuing Appropriations and Extensions Act, 2025. 

 

The continuing resolution extends government funding through September 30, 2025, the end of the fiscal year. The clean funding bill keeps our government open, provides a historic pay raise for junior enlisted servicemembers, and ensures essential programs are operating.

WASHINGTON - Today, Rep. Jeff Crank (CO-05) voted in favor of H. Con. Res. 14, which moves the reconciliation process forward. 

 

This is the first step that Congress must take to move forward with the budget reconciliation process, directing House Committees to make spending, revenue and debt limit decisions.

WASHINGTON - Today, Rep. Jeff Crank (CO-05) sent a letter to the Small Business Administration (SBA), inviting them to move their regional office from Denver, a sanctuary city, to Colorado Springs.

 

SBA Administrator Kelly Loeffler in her Day One Memo ordered regional offices currently based in sanctuary cities to relocate to communities that comply with federal immigration law.
